2001 with private funding, NSS is a marketing agency focused exclusively on generating new
subscriptions for the newspaper industry. NSS markets to potential subscribers
through a variety of channels, including online, direct mail and at point-of-sale
purchases. Customers can interact with NSS at any time, either via one of our Web

Company Management
Frank Vega, Founder and President, has been with NSS since its inception in October, 2001.
Prior to launching NSS, Mr. Vega founded several other advertising companies, the most recent of which, Monsterbook.com,
was sold to Transmedia Asia Pacific in May 2000. Mr. Vega has a Bachelor’s degree in Finance from the University of
Florida.
Evan Mecak, Vice-President of Sales & Marketing, has spent his entire career creating
sales and marketing programs for newspapers. Prior to joining NSS, Mr. Mecak
implemented a variety of innovative database marketing programs focused on generating new,
profitable subscriptions at both the Reno Gazette-Journal and San Francisco Chronicle.
Mr. Mecak has a Bachelor’s degree from the E.W. Scripps School of Journalism at Ohio University.
Matt Kemp, Vice-President of Business Development, has an extensive background forming
relationships with large organizations. Prior to joining NSS, Mr. Kemp most recently
worked for Sears, Roebuck for over four years in strategy and business development.
During that time, he brokered a series of partnerships for Sears with companies such as
America Online (AOL), Cisco Systems, eBay and Amazon.com. Mr. Kemp has a Bachelor’s degree in Economics from the
University of Florida and an MBA from the University
of Chicago.
